Social policy issued affect seniors on a daily bases and when you look closely at long term care its dynamics are changing as well. Many seen long term care as the only answer with little in between but know seniors are giving more options when it comes to long term care and avoiding it altogether and deciding to age in place.

 

One of the biggest health issues that senior must be aware of are the increase of the number of falls that happen in home and at facilities many are preventable but many happen not just from balance but from lack of proper nutrient which causes weak bones and for many this results in a hip fracture while walking which leads to the fall. Other issues are chronic diseases such as congested heart failure, heart disease and diabetes which can all be managed with proper education and access to health ca

 

Senior must be encourage to become and remain active in helping change policies for them and vote on matters that are important to them and it is up to individuals to make sure that elderly is aware of changes and how it will affect them.
